Schizodestiny

Stick closer to me
In our schizodestiny
It gets so dark at night
I can barely see
The birds are still hunting today
I get worried when you go away to
The Sea Side Dog Cafe
In our schizodestiny
Oh, it's just one more score
Until you become this drunken old whore
Is that you knocking at my door?
Are you coming back for more?
If I could make this room feel like a home
If you didn't feel so all alone
Would you stay?
The birds are still hunting today
I get worried when you go away to
The Sea Side Dog Cafe
I will bite that hand that feeds me
When it slaps me in the face
I can go without the meal and
I can lose without disgrace

Give you the gift of my absence
Give you the gift of my gone away
Give you my gift I'm just a raincloud but
I'm a raincloud that goes away
And then it's just another blue sky
It's just another sunny day
It's just another triple rainbow but
It's a rainbow that goes away
I know you never needed a song
You'll never read me rights
You'll never take away my sunshine
You won't be taking my sunshine away
Get into the sunshine
You won't be taking my sunshine away
Give you the gift of my absinthe
Give you the gift of my gone away
Give you the gift I'm just a raincloud but
I'm a raincloud that goes away

Wednesday
She's my secret weapon
Marcena fell into a well
Bright-eyed at the Tequila Massacre
Great train with the wheels to roll
The letting go of plans
The Holy Thug undone
I'm not taking any stand
I'm not hurting anyone
Wednesday's my favorite weapon

Love.Since.Deferred.
02:18
|
|||
I don't want a lover who doesn't love another
I want somebody who loves everyone like me
I'm not saying that I want to join the army but
I sure would like to be all that I can be
Uh oh!
Catch a tiger by his toe and
If he hollers shoot him up with PCP
I'm not proud of all the drugs I've done but
I should've done a little more of LSD
Heaven will surround you
Happiness has found you and
We'll get high
We'll get so high

Fortunate Isle
02:47
|
|||
There's no ordinary way for
Writing your comeback
Floating away
Can your thoughts on the wind
Take a hold of your mind
As the train begins to slow?
Got you this far
Get you back to the station
Nobody's waiting
Spark's flying out of Zeus' head
Everyone at Fortunate Isle is dead or
Dancing in the Marketplace
Everybody in and out of phase
There's a stuck fly and he wants to be free
Wants to the the prize of the Golden Apple trees

Sell the children
Sell the car
Sell the house
I'm not coming back
Ever!
No more desperation
Pull the plug
This is the sound of me pulling out the plug
The roar and rush of nothing
Pulling out the plug
Sanity was never the plan
Sanity not the end
(Let it go
Wreckless information and
Frozen memories
Everyone could use a little education and
A hand grenade and
A few of my favorite demons)

39 Days in the Wind
00:36
|
|||
You can't tell me I've got no right to die
You can't tell me I'got nowhere to float away
For 39 days
For 39 days in the wind

We've unveiled an unsettling clock now
When you flip the switch
When you flip the switch
A million memories of love swarm in my mind like
Bees in an incubator in
Parasitic fury
When you flip the switch and
For a moment the light is gone
It's light we're never getting back
This clock is mechanical
This clock is a mechanical beast and
We're it's feast
At the 59th second
At the end of the 59th second
It will swoop down like a bird
Hunting just above the water at
The hush of midnight
When you're on the roof and
the slate is jumping and
It will take Dry Town

Trial

|

Trial
All of my life is on trial
Tapes, glossy photos and storyboards
Denial
Piled up for miles and miles
Do you think it'd be better if
I stop sending letters?
Do you think it'd be alright if
I swing by tonight?
File
All of my records are on file

Landshark Blues
01:31
|
|||
How could anything be more tragic?
Albert Douglas Key's father was a kind fish
There was a landshark named Russ which so happens to also be
Al Key's father's name
The landshark needed help getting back into the water
So he asked Al Key's father if he could push him back into the water and
He ate Russ and
Walked back into the water
Didn't we almost have it all?
LANDSHARK BLUES!

Song for a Stuck Fly
00:45
|
|||
You run away
You hide and seek
You play the game
You don't want to peek out or
Be anything and
When you go away
It just spreads the pain
It just spreads the pain to
Everyone you leave
Stuck fly who wants to be free
Wants to be the prize of the Golden Apple Tree

The Pond Beyond
02:17
|
|||
The pond beyond loves you
The pond beyond is a mess without you now
Toxic bars and massive scars
Shallow referees standing where
An unreasonable sky is giving birth to a deadly sun
In your vainglorious moment
Daunting silence and vigilance
Miserable snow
Pistol-whipped ghosts you
Write a girl in adoration
A song about a song
Your lonely echo wheel oratory in the shed
The pond beyond loves you
The pond beyond can't live without you now

No More White Stallions
06:24
|
|||
Just like Harry and Tonto
Just like Harold and Maude
Like two Emperor penguins or
Two lovers abroad
We are a montage of this city
We are an old man's routine
We are the last dance at the Valentine's Day Ball
A boulevard of broken drinks
I hurl a series of broken epithets
While you squirm in my arms
We have been slated for demolition
This house is losing its charm
Once you were a diamond
Once you were a star
There are no more white stallions
There are no more shiny seaside bars
The sirens were blasting
You were reciting King Lear
The wrecking ball was at the ready
When you put a bug in my ear
We used to run up those stairs
To keep an eye on the kids
We had our whole lives in front of us
Life got behind us and hid
There are no more white stallions
There are no more catchers in the rye
There are no more rusted skeletons
There are no more wheat kings to cry
There are no more white stallions
