Stronger Than the Ox

from The Nest by Woosley Band

/

lyrics

the story is broken and
the pace is all jumbled
this place is a mess
I am bewildered and humbled by work but
I'm still stonger than the ox
I will go down happy with the hammer in my hands
with the trains still running this will all make sense
when the fat lady croaks and crushes the riders
in my own defense
the humorous puns and clever denials of the wannabe chef
will be celebrated when I'm dead

I should have picked up the pipe
long before the drummer counted one
he fell face first into the snare drum
the story is broken but
it feels like it's done
put it together when I'm napping

I'm stronger than the ox
I will go down happy with hammer in my hands
with the train still running
this will all make sense when the fat kid croaks and crushes the writer
you can bet we will still be friends
the wannabe sherrif should have picked up the pipe
the drummer counted one and
fell face first into the snare drum
